The Good Lord said to pay the first fruits of our labor to Him. This is above any offering and tithing. I truly believe that we are to give until it becomes a Sacrificial offering or gift. Even dedicate your work to him. Give Him your first fruits of your labor also. Like the Word says, what good does it do a man to give if he has plenty to give. It does not affect him in any way and he goes about with his pockets still full. But the Lord reminds us that we are to be as the little woman that give her last mite. She gave all she had. She did not try to save it until a crisis occurred. She gave willingly her last bit of income. The Lord God then blessed her over and beyond any of the others.
Mark 12: 41-44
41. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44. For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Praise the Holy Name of the Almighty, I did not have to worry about being blessed. God has blessed me over and beyond what I have given. He always seems to do that. Why? Many ask why do certain ones get blessed with their giving and others do not ever receive any thing at all from the Lord? It is because they gave out of love for their family and for their brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. It is the motivation behind the giving that counts. If you have $1000 in the bank in savings and more in checking, and you give your tithe of $100 to your church you have just obeyed the Lord in the giving of your tithe. He also expects gifts and offerings above that amount to be given to the widows and orphans and those that are struggling to make ends meet. We are to be the hearts and hands of God. He cannot be here personally so He expects us to do the work He would do.
Giving with a happy heart will give you true joy from inside. But when you take your last bit--money--clothes--food and give it to another, without grumbling or complaining, your heart will overflow with goodness and God will be able to bless you over and above His normal blessings. You cannot outgive God. That is a true statement. The more you give, with the right heart, the more He blesses you back. The problem comes in when someone just throws coins or a few dollars into the offering plate and think they have obeyed the Lord thy God. He says what good is it to give in this manner. It has truly not cost you anything. He wants us to give of our labor, our time, our finances, our blessings, and give this with the right attitude. He wants us to be like the little widow that gave her last bit, and then went home and her jars started overflowing with what she needed then. Not before. Why? Because she gave it sacrifically. She gave all she had in obediene to the Lord and gave until it hurt.
Do any of us give like this anymore? Do you give until you don't have anything left? If the answer is yes--then you will be blessed beyond measure. God is good and He is good all of the time. We do need to give him more Thanksgiving, Honor and Praise. It should flow forth out of our months continually until it is a habit. He says He inhibits our praise, so praise Him in the morning, Praise Him at noon and Praise Him in the evening--for He is worthy of all things. Praise Him in the good times and Praise Him in the bad times. Praise Him as all things belong to Him yet he shares so much with us.
Be a Sacrificial Giver today....give until it hurts if your want to be blessed back. And do it with a smile from your heart knowing you are giving to help ease the pain of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. But please don't give just to be blessed back for God knows your heart and He will not reward someone who gives for the wrong reasons. Open your heart today and your bank book and give until it hurts. Glory to God in the Highest.

I would like to take this opportunity to say now that if you do not really "KNOW" the Savior with all your heart, mind, body and soul, and you wish Him to come into your heart and help you change, please just say this simple prayer.
Our Heavenly Father,
I come before you with my sins. I am a sinner and I want to be free and clean. Please come into my heart and save me and accept me as one of Your children. I do not want to go to hell. I want to spend eternity with You and Your children. Please Father, I believe that Jesus is Your son, born of a virgin, and that He died on the cross for all sins, including mine. I believe in the Trinity and I know You love me. Please, I know You may not give me another chance, so let me accept You now.
