Jesus told the disciples to follow him and he would make them fishers of
men. If we are the Christians we are supposed to be, then we are disciples
of Jesus. And to become a fisher of men....we must do as a fisherman....
set the bait and cast out your faith that it will reach the heart and souls
of men.
You should be the one that is willing to set the bait, reach out and touch
the other person...reach so deep with your love and kindness that you
will actually touch their soul. If we don't do this and let the people go
on their on way, then we are guilty of not following the wishes of Jesus.
The lake you see above is full of lost souls. Can you reach in and save
one or two of them and witness to them? Can you take the time in this
busy world, to stop and speak to the ones that are hurting or ones that
have just lost a loved one? What about the ones that just lost their
jobs and the ones that are homeless? Can you find it in yourselves to
reach out to them?
We must. We must love each person as ourselves. We must reach
them all...be a fisher of men, quickly for the time is soon that Jesus
will be coming. Please take a moment and think about your life style.
Are you too busy or too high up the rank to reach out and touch
the life of someone? Are you doing all you can? Please put it
in perspective....and see if you are a disciple that has gone fishing.
