How could this Man have loved me so
that to Golgotha He was willing to go?
They spat on Him and beat Him along the way
but not a word did He ever say.
For my sins He did pay
as they nailed Him to the cross that day.
He paid a price I could never pay
so that in Heaven I would be some day
Beaten and bruised He hung on a tree
so that for eternity with Him I would be.
He did all this not just for me
but for the sins of all He hung on that tree.
For if they would only believe it's true
to Heaven they would all go too.
How could this Man have loved us so
that to Golgotha He was willing to go?
