I was doing a Bible Study the end of last week. I had decided to start doing Bible Study in relationship to topics. This is the one I was led to do that day.
Let me ask you a question: How many times in this life on earth have you felt forsaken? Well, for myself there have been several times. It was at those times that I had neglected to turn everything over to God and was trying to take care of things on my own. My way did not work at all. When I put my faith and trust in Him, what a difference that made. He had not forsaken me, I had forsaken Him.
I would like to share some scriptures with you on this.
These are from the NIV Translation.
Deut. 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you: he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Psalm 94:14 For the Lord will not reject his people; He will never forsake His inheritance.
Psalm 37:25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
Let us think about what the Lord has told us, "I will never leave you or forsake you." We all face trials of many kinds in this life. It feels to us in these trials that no one can help us through them. I have learned that the Lord is with me and through these hard times when I can't cope, He has carried me. I invite you to be of good courage and to have faith and trust the Lord to help you through your trials.
Thank you dear Lord for giving us courage and strength to go through our trials. Thank you for the trials to help us to grow and depend upon you more.
In Jesus name, Amen
