1 Thessalonians 4 14. For if we believe that Jesus died and
rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with
him. 15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are
alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are
asleep. 16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with
the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ
shall rise first: 17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord. 18. Wherefore comfort one another with these
words.
The King of Kings is returning soon. The above
scripture (vs 18) tells us to comfort each other with the news of His return.
Why? Because this is our hope...this is the reason we strive for the Lord to do
His work and not be found sleeping when He returns...this is the reason we live.
It builds our faith knowing that one day, very soon, He shall burst through the
clouds and come for His own. This rapture of the children of God will be the
biggest event this earth has known since it was created.
Many people argue that since the exact word "rapture" is not in the Bible
that there will be no such occurrence. But, dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
do not believe that lie. He is surely coming...He did not die for us, descend to
hell with the keys to set the captives free, and ascend into heaven just to
leave us here for eternity.
He is coming back to fight a mighty war known as the battle of Armageddon.
When this is done, He will set up His earthly kingdom and reign here for a
thousand years with us. Then the day will come when the old devil, the deceiver,
the liar, the killer, the thief--once called Lucipher and the beast (the
antichrist), will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternity.
So with this we have hope. For Christ shall return soon and we will rise into
glory with Him, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Praise the name above all names.
