In Memory of
George Martinez

George, age 82, was an active member of the American Legion, the KC's and VFW.

George and Sister Barbara (LeBlanc) were married August 11, 2007. He was her dream come true. Her knight in shining armor. He swept her off her feet and they enjoyed a short, but extreme loving 15 months together.
She sent a note stating:

My husband George went home on the night of Nov 11, 2008. I was patting his arm and talking to him. I was telling him how much I loved him, and talked about the things we did together....and how I will miss him, but--it was alright if he wanted to go with Jesus. I would be all right. I told him my son (Roy) would be checking on me and he is close by and I would be all right. I, again, told him how much I loved him. A big tear rolled down his face to his neck. He then took three big breaths and he was gone with Jesus.

He is survived by his wife Barbara LeBlanc Martinez, four children...Robert, Mark, George G. and Cindy. He also is survived by his seven step-children...Chris LaCoste, Tammy LaCoste, Zachary LaCoste, Leslie LaCoste, Lisa LeBlanc and Roy LeBlanc and Debra Roy.

George was a Marine and served his country proudly. Ironically, he died on Veteran's Day. He will have an all Military send off with taps to be played. George was a good Christian man and a good husband that was sent to Sister Barbara by God even for this short time. She will miss him terribly.

Below are a couple of their wedding photos.
